About Jemberስለ ጀምበር

A bilingual word game platform built for the love of Amharic and English — and everyone learning either.

Language Learning Shouldn't Feel Like Homework

Jember started with one game. Today it's growing into a full bilingual platform — and we're just getting started.

We believe vocabulary sticks faster through play than through rote memorization. Jember brings Amharic and English together in a single platform where every game is designed to build real language skills — reading speed, pattern recognition, synonym knowledge, and listening comprehension — all without feeling like studying.

Whether you grew up speaking Amharic and want to sharpen your English, or you're an English speaker curious about one of the world's oldest writing systems, Jember meets you where you are and makes the journey playful.

Why Amharic and English?

Amharic is spoken by over 57 million people — the second most spoken Semitic language in the world after Arabic. Its script, Ge'ez (Fidel), is one of the oldest writing systems still in daily use, with a history spanning more than three thousand years. For Ethiopian diaspora communities, the language carries culture, memory, and identity.

English, meanwhile, opens professional and global doors. Jember lets Amharic speakers build real English vocabulary through games they already love — without leaving their culture at the door. The two languages together create a learning environment that feels native to both communities.
